Deductions that’s unclear and wasn’t informed
Saturday, August 22, 2009July 27 2009. I received the first half of June’s salary (after one and a half month!) with deductions that I don’t know where it came from. Immediately, I sent an email to our finance department, stating:
To Whom It May Concern:
Hi!
This day I received the first half of June salary worth AED1kplus instead of AED2kplus. On the paper I signed when I got the cheque, it was not mentioned the reason I got deductions. Please enlighten me on this matter where’s the missing 250 dirhams. I have 3 absences (pls verify) for month of June due to lack of transpo allowance because of the delay of release of salary and it was reduced to half. If it was due to the recent 700 dirhams for repairing Mac from ecity, I should be informed coz I am clueless and I didn’t sign the paper yet to deduct the 700 from my salary. I need the facts and the computation, please.
And I’m asking again to please include the reimbursements that I’ve submitted way back February for the December 2008 expenses (taxi, uniform and Oman exit) into my next pay cheque, because until now, it’s not yet processed though I was informed way back April that it was calculated, just waiting for approval from the management. If you’re very kind to just deduct the AED700 from my reimbursements instead from my salary to make it simpler, I would prefer that and thank you much.
I hope we’re all clear on this. Thank you very much.
Unfortunately instead, the management asked me of the missing 425 dirhams, which I have submitted way back June. I don’t know where they’re getting the facts and figures, how they arrived with a 250 dirhams deductions and so forth? Are they updating their system or their files? WTF! To this day, I haven’t received the second half of June. Today is August 21, 2009.
Buying duty-free items at airport, be cautious!
Wednesday, August 12, 2009I recevied an email from my cousin with this subject line. And so I opened it and saddened by the fact that this is happening around us (not unless it’s only a story). Read the mail for your cautions.
Be cautious..

I hope this will be the end of it, as more people are aware, the more these kind of people perform the act no more.
What eyes cream are you?
Friday, August 7, 2009
They say that the eyes are the window of our soul, and without it, life is a colorful black. Taking good care of our healthy eyes is a must, making it more appreciative and beautiful comes the second. Most of the time, women give highlights to their eyes to tell men their feelings, their views, their opinions and their moods. What about choosing and using the correct eye cream that was proven safe and effective from Eye Cream Reviews? That is a good way to purchase your creams; especially it will be placed on your eyes, better check the brand, the label and the safeties. You’ll never have doubts in wearing the cream coz it was tested by not only the authorized testers but the legitimate one. Have fun choosing the right cream for your eyes as this is a paid post.

The news got me out of the chair with surprise! More and more information like these will definitely give laughter to the face of those people who are treated unfairly by companies that are taking advantage of the recession situation, not to mention the way companies hire people with visit visa and use the duration of the visa so thepeople can work with them then finally will not give employment visa to those poor guys! Shame on you. If you’re planning to get out of your present employer but haven’t finished your contract yet, you can brag about this site and my previous post about Good News from Ministry of Labour Dubai. The said link can be viewed from here. This news will eventually stop these bullcrap companies that are giving cheques (dated 2 weeks ago but was released just now) instead of through ATM’s bank deposit. Let us not forget some style of companies that release only half of the salary and a late payment monthly burden. Once again, I give kudos for the Labour Department for giving justices to the workers.

Condolences to Aquino family
Saturday, August 1, 2009The first female ex-president Corazon Aquino is dead at 76! Notably, she was the reason why dictatorship stopped and democracy was felt on the soil of the republic after the first Edsa Revolution way back 1986. She was the first female president of Asia too. She battled colon cancer for a year and made her bedridden since June of this year, and was given morphine that made her unresponsive. She was a strong woman to empower a country that lost military support and stands out 7 coup attempts. She will remain as a mother of peace for our land, the Pearl of the Orient. We’ll miss the way you throw out peaceful and prayerful way of battling the negative things that is happening on our land. May your rest in peace and let the angel of God deliver you to eternal happiness. Always shine for us, for the future of Philippines.
