Identifying yourself through others
Tuesday, September 30, 2008As I cleared my locker of my personal things, I found this paper with messages from Batch 9, when we had this activity that a paper will be placed at your back and your batchmates will write something positive on that sheet. Our trainers said, read this when you’re down and want to uplift your spirit, o sige n nga! Each and every one of us wrote down messages that will make the other person happy. So I got this from them:
“I never thought you’d be my perfect dancing partner - I had a great time, really. I find you sooooooooooo nice… Love you!”
“tigilan ang games! be good”
“Nice person”
“Iba ka pare! 2 wks kitang katabi and ur da best!”
“Silent killer?! Stay simple…”
“Hi! Sobrang bait, mamimiss kita”
“Nice guy, mabait!”
“Nice seatmate…I’ll miss u”
in bold “SILENT BUT DEADLY”
“Silent but your always smiling”
“uy friend ko to, sobrang bait, wala kang proble problema”
“COOL DUDES!”
“Knowing you was something that I’ll cherish. Good luck and Godbless”
“Astig!!! Visayas Rule!!!”
“Nice Guy”
“Great guy to have in a pinch”
“Jimrey, you’re a great guy! We love you Jimrey! Lufet mo!”
“Quiet - nasa loob ang kulo”
“Tahimik?! Duh I don’t think so!”
“Jim, asan na San Mig naten?”
“Mr Hidden Talent! galing mo palang sumayaw! Mas magaling lang ako! Joke! Stay Cool!”
“Tahimik na naglalaro ng text twist pero malulupit ang hinuhulaan na salita pero kabastusan…Hehehe!”
I still have the paper with me, in the meantime, while I can’t transfer pix from my cp to pc, eto n lang muna pagtyagaan nyo. Oha! It made my day after clearing my locker, submitting everything that belonged to Dell Pasay. Batch 9 talaga anoano naiisip.

computer bugs
Friday, September 26, 2008What happend?
I thought I can create a different blog about troubleshooting computers, especially hardware, and DSL connections problems, I should have started it the day I stepped into a call center industry for my notes, unfortunately, I’ll be leaving the industry and will try some other things in Dubai. Isn’t that great? Ayush! makikita ko na cya. “It’s been a while…” sabi nga ni Britney (if you follow my previous posts, you’ll know what I’m talking about).
Yes, I’ll leave the site open for trial and error, until I figure out what needs to be done and what not for my newly created poorly recognized and less informative site, http://jzerx.mycom.ph. I’ll be looking for ways to improve it. As of the moment, I’ll be using http://jzerx.i.ph as my main and whatever posts I have from mycom I’ll transferred them back here for easier navigation. Keeping it simple and less complicated is what I need to do right now.
Ignore the transfers kenya?
Writing my letter of resignation
Monday, September 22, 2008
Not again! I’ve been here for more than 1.5 years now, not too long but not too short. Even though its not easy to depart from your colleagues, greener pasture gives me more smile on my face, at least I can now fulfill not only my dreams but my dreams for my aging parents. Here is a sample of a resignation letter that I’m planning to give them:
Please accept this letter as my notice of resignation, effective October 2008.
This company is an ideal one, and the time I have spent here has been rewarding and helpful in my career, and I hope that my contributions to the company have been effective..
Thank you.

Dear diary, oops!:
It is with both regret and anticipation to tender my resignation effective September 27, 2008. I’ll be leaving the country to be with my family and it would take time before my return.
Working with such established company tenures I and I cannot ask for more. I have a career here at company. I have enjoyed working with my colleagues, and I’ll miss everything of company. If there’s something I might be of help, please let me know, I’ll make myself available.
Thank you for allowing me to serve the company.
Sincerely,
jzerx
ayush!
It’s hard to let go of things that you have been doing for years now, especially if your friends are involved. I consider it a treasure to work with you guys. Thank you for the laughter over a spilled beer, the out of towns for team buildings, the usual asaran when we are at our bay, making scams to the customer, nyehehe, just to meet the daily targets, whata!, the sharing of personal experiences overlooking the horizon of Batangas or the mountains of Laguna, your dreams…mine, the pre-dawn to lunch inuman and basagan ng trip sa Treats, the overflowing of food during summer outings: the legs, breast, arse, what more can you ask for? wag lang mabuking so put on your shades, the common sense answer to a common sense question about troubleshooting a pc, the mad-cow-desease face of an rs when you’re trying to get approval for dispatches, the usual reasons like LBM or headaches or toothaches even heartaches just to be absent for the day or even for the following day!, the ever smiling and with loudspeaker on throat FL, you know who you are: thanks, sa mga nagpapasakay sa oto kung uwian, salamat!, the never ending inuman nnmn sa bar and hopping into another just to get rid of the team fund!, What matters most is this sentence: “wag u maniwala kay dt, stats moo din yan!”and “sa prisinto kana magpaliwanag” while riding a bus, and “isama mo pa si donding daga”. “when your power’s combined…” hahahaha, “yahooo yahooo”. mga artistahin ung team natin, I won’t forget the pictures: sana pala may copy nun para mapost dito, lol, why dont you send me those?
For those of you in some part or in another made my day, thank you, Batch 9, you know who you are. May the good Lord shower you some blessings with me having more? wehehe.

Olram is now sharing his talent online, on this blog. I told him that he can create a blog to which he can save his works in music (he is definitely into it, and I’m proud of it). I don’t know how he does it, and you’ll agree with me that there is something worthy from his craft! Aside from creating a blog and not just displaying his work in other places, you can get something from blogging: money. Maybe…
He started with audio remixing and he is contented with that. He labeled it as MP3 and pastes them to youtube, where most of the creative minds congregate! Until one day, he let me watch his creation: remixes of audio and videos of Britney. Perhaps this generation likes Britney or loves Britney because of her music inclination and dances majestically (kids, emulate what’s good and dump what’s not). Checking the comments on the video, OA! hehehe
Giving him pieces of advises, I know he can do much to the music industry (meganun!), I even told him who knows one day you’ll be a music engineer (dahil sa mga pinaggagagawa mo), weeeeh! Keep remixing and blogging and soon you’ll reap what you sown.

Though I should be avoiding products that said “no therapeutic claims” on its label, I can’t resist when I found out what’s inside each tablet and what it can do for me, for an adult. Every now and then, as what I had posted, that you should not stick to a certain product for long. A box of this and a bit of other products will make your body adjust to certain levels of vitamins and minerals intake. Use it once a day or as prescribed by a doctor. Hold on, since both “no therapeutic…” and “…as prescribed by doctor” are both written on the box, better ask your doctor what it means when it says “no thera thing…”
Intermittent chest pain
Friday, September 12, 2008I was stunned when I got pain on my chest. I don’t know the reason back then. I even consulted our company doctor for it. He pressed my chest using his 2 fingers and asked if I felt pain, I said no. No involuntary movement of muscles even. Then he asked if I feel excruciatingly painful inside and again I said no. I don’t even know if it came from my muscle or from my ribs (bone density is low?).
What have I done? They got my blood pressure: it is beyond normal, “ceiling” for being normal before hypertension. Ok. Maybe it’s a bad day for me. Few weeks after it striked back, I felt the same thing. This time it has an added pain, every time I exhale strongly or chuckle or laugh my heart out, I cut on what I’m doing to relax my chest coz it’s painful. So I went to our clinic again, this time they told me to go to the hospital to have my ECG examination, etc, etc. You know me, if I didn’t like doing it, I will not do it, but I said to him “OK” anyway tomorrow is my rest day.
As usual, I didn’t go to the hospital to have an ECG. Wehehe, I think our doctor is still waiting for the result of the exam, never showed it to him. Am I such a pain in the ass, doc?
Yesterday, I tried to sleep in the sleeping quarters to wait until MOA opens at aound 10am. Unfortunately, no available foam for me to sleep to. So I slept on a wooden double deck, for more than 3 hours sideways left or right. Fortunately around 8am, someone left one of the foams so I immediately transferred to have a more comfortable bed.
Upon wake up, I’ve got a chest pain. Now I know the reason why. Hahaha, I should not sleep sideways on a wooden bed without foam! Cumon!
Sleepless night due to Smart
Monday, September 8, 2008It is 230 in the morning and I don’t feel sleepy. I have to get up at around 5am for DFA’s releasing of documents (yoko nmn mahuli sa pila coz as early as 6am dami ng tao outside the gate then my ibang pila pa sa loob ng DFA). My blood is still rushing and rampaging through the tiniest vain I have and my muscles are like shaking. The reason? my internet connection (due Smartbro wireless with 2 years contract) was disabled for a week because of non-payment. Late this evening I visited Smart.
Yes, I know I’m delayed in paying for my monthly bills (this month, nagkandapatong-patong mga binabayaran ko, and I even experience having to eat rice+pancit canton for days para lang mapagkasya ung natitirang salapi, in return my stomach became smaller, maybe I should be doing this more often, huh! nah go for more nutrients). When I opened my account, they say I have to pay every 21st of the month, the day of March when they activated my account, so I obliged, even if from the advertised speed “you get 7x faster than dial up? (56kbps vs 384kbps), I get merely the speed of a dial up connection. I dont have any canopy coz I opted for wireless plug and play connection. It would be easier for me to connect to net if I go to Baguio, Batangas, Pangasinan or in Manila.
In Smart office, they said that I have to pay every 15th of the month to which I told them I was advised to pay every 21st, what’s the difference anyway? I got a week without an internet connection, mine was disabled without me knowing it, even if I told them (coz someone called me Aug31) that I’ll be paying my dues the moment I get my pay which is on Sept 5. She, from the customer care, didn’t told me that she will be cutting my internet connection until I pay my bills. Guys: Smart is doing everything to get people’s money but the services they are offering is so unreliable. So I paid and the account was reactivated.
“Do you know that I am getting only as much as 60 kbps or lower than dial up, and once in a blue moon that my peak goes up to 250kbps and it doesn’t last for even an hour? and how do you compensate for the days that I’m not connected to net because you disabled my account?”
The customer service replied “When you’re connected to net and you are having problems, you can call us back.” For Christ sake I’m not a user of your SIM, I switched to GLOBE long ago due to the fact that I can’t handle being stressed by Smart people! I don’t have any wired connection like a phone to my studio coz I know sooner I’ll be moving out. That’s the reason I am here now to complain!
Smart: what is the use of having a customer care inside your offices if you can’t cater to my needs? I AM IN FRONT OF YOU TELLING YOU MY PROBLEM AND YOU WANTED ME TO GO HOME AND CALL YOU BACK INSTEAD? Don’t you have a form or something so you can expedite my request as well? I know I can demand for these coz this is the only time that I didn’t pay my bills ontime.
At my place I know how to eliminate possible distractions of a wireless signal. I even place my laptop to each and every corner of my studio to find a good steady and fast signal, to my dismay. Don’t tell me to put my laptop way beyond my head to look for a strong signal, and outside my door, do you? just like when you’re using a cellphone and you’re looking for a signal, it doesnt work that way! My pc is fine, I’m a tech so I know what needs to be done and what not!
Look at the forum of smartbro, they even call it smartbro(ken). Now I know the reason why. I was warned by my friends before not to go for any smart services but I still persisted, giving Smart one last chance to proove that they are worth my money, but unfortunately, the hell! During that time when I’m looking for an internet connection, Globe is not available in my area (for wireless) and Smart is. No choice and would be my last dealings with not-Smart-at -all!
445am!
September 1 to February 13 is Christmas to us…
Monday, September 1, 2008I don’t want to let this day pass without any post, this is the first day of the “ber” months. For Filipinos, who are known worldwide to have the longest Christmas celebration that starts today, until the day the heart of Cupid arrives! The moment I turn my tv on to watch the latest news, you know what I’ve seen? newscasters wearing Santa’s hat, while a choir on the background singing Christmas songs with arms like angels and giving out smile to everyone to see and feel the warmth of the dawn.
Geez! Everything is in red, green and white: the colors of the joyous season. They say this is the season for children. I say it’s true. It is the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.
When I went outside to see what the world can offer to me, it’s just the same. I don’t feel the air of the season. I didn’t see something unusual on this first day of September. Maybe bacause we are still tightening our belts for some fiesta like celebrations in every street of barangays.Maybe people are adjusting to the unstoppable rice hike and other commodities, thinking of what they needed on a daily basis and not what they wanted on that particular day. Maybe people have finally come into their senses that everyday, we are facing our untimely death due to hunger or malnutrition. Most of us are trying to get away from that nature, and be financially free. Filipinos are intelligent, patient, and hardworking, but how long will we carry the burden of being Juan dela Cruz? Is it the society, the government or ourselves that needs improvement?
Around 930 when I’m done with DFA’s authentication of documents I arrived home. As usual, I turn the tv on, not again: talk shows are talking about the beginning of this, tips on having a great and unforgettable Christmas, even wish list and things that you needed to do next year! What’s more: start your shopping now to get away from Christmas’ rush hours. Aaaah! There are a lot of things in my mind that I’ll think about having to celebrate this season with ease, anyway, it’s more than hundred days more before December 25th, I’ll stress myself soon.
