Sources of energy
Tuesday, January 16, 2007Living healthy should be the priority of every individual. I’m concerned about my health when I started feeling pain on my nape due to high blood pressure (and my girl advised me that the long term effect of this is infertility???) Wooot!! So I should minimize fat-related products, high in sodium, sleepness night (how about working not in a graveyard shift to control the BP?), exercise, and a lot more to think about. I can’t recall everything that I read, everything that I figured out, everything I was told, I am lucky I can blog.
Mainly my sources of energy are 1. carbs from rice, bread, include pasta, fruits, and sugar; and 2. fats from dairy products like egg and cheese, butter or oil. Eating 6 times a day is recommended, where you have 3 main courses then 3 snacks in between meals. Ideally, we should be filling our stomach with something healthy every 2-3 hours, but it doesn’t mean that you will be eating 2 plates or more for every meal, you got it wrong baby. Moreover, it is not wise to eat 3x a day only with full plates, take it easy, 6 meals with enough amount is perfect.
Dieting is not the solution for becoming slim (at least for me, though they said I’m becoming thin everyday is because of lack of sleep and laziness in cooking, hehehe). I don’t recommend (?) high in protein coupled with low carb diet coz it makes you feel weak at the end of the day, the reason, proteins are not enough to sustain the activity within the day. So rice eaters, enjoy 2 cups more (due to carb), yey! Do not deprive yourself of carbs coz it shows (looking at the mirror, sigh). One more thing, if you decide to get energy out of sugar, you’ll feel fatigue. Mainly coz sugar can be a good source of energy but only for a limited time being. Is that the reason why if ladies are depressed, eating chocolates let them forget the man who dumped them? …about to go to work again and I only had 3 hours of sleep, to make my day fruitful, here is my post.
